Sign Up Now for The Ryan Shaw Memorial 5K on November 5th
The Ryan Shaw Memorial 5K encourages exercise in honor of a dearly missed friend. Ryan Shaw was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis in May 2016 and passed away shortly after. For his friends, family, and brothers in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity’s Boston Chapter, Ryan made a big impression in his short life. His fraternity brothers host the annual event to keep his memory alive.
A portion of your registration fee ($30) goes to The Ryan Shaw Foundation, which funnels the funds into various charities that were near and dear to Ryan’s heart. Sign up for the 5K and head out to Brighton on Saturday, November 5th to get some fresh air and give back to your community. Show up a little early to sign in (or to register on the spot) and start warming up around 11:45 a.m. The race itself kicks off at 12 p.m. after a brief opening ceremony, and you have an hour or so to enjoy the scenic 5K course at whatever pace you find comfortable. By the time you loop back around to the finish line fest at 1 p.m., the awards ceremony and raffle may already be underway!
