Enjoy Smooth Tunes During the Cambridge Jazz Festival on July 28
Jazz can trace its roots back to 20th-century American clubs, and the Cambridge Jazz Festival exists to make sure the local community never forgets where jazz originated. Founded by a music professor from the prestigious Berklee School of Music and a former city councilor, the festival brings some of the best artists from around the globe to Cambridge every year.
This summer, it’s taking place on Sunday, July 28th from noon to 6 p.m at Danehy Park. The lineup this year boasts some big names like Elan Trotman, a decorated jazz saxophonist from Barbados, and Carla Cook, a talented crooner with powerful pipes. Enjoy live music for free at the park all day long. Parking is also free, but you can take the T to the Alewife Station and walk, as well.
