Sona Jobarteh is a kora music virtuoso best known for modernizing the presentation of kora music by playing while standing and singing with an electric Afropop band. If this sounds right up your musical alley, you won’t want to miss Sona Jobarteh and her band when they take the stage at Somerville Theatre on October 11th. You’ll get to enjoy a night of world music while learning about Sona’s West African cultural heritage.

Tickets for the show cost $35 per person and can be purchased online or at the theatre box office. Parking is limited in the Davis Square area to on-street metered parking and two municipal lots (one at Holland and Buena Vista Streets, and the other at Herbert and Day Streets.)
