Learn to Climb at Central Rock Gym
Though the business has expanded dramatically since it was founded in Worcester in 2009, Central Rock Gym remains a family affair. Brothers Joe and Ed Hardy founded CRG because of their shared love of climbing, and remain in charge today. But beyond their fraternal bond, members say that the family atmosphere extends to the community of staff and regulars that work together at getting better, day after day.
The facilities themselves are impressive—6,000 square feet of climbing terrain, with 200 different boulder problems that are regularly rotated to keep your mind alert and your body challenged. In addition, you’ll find 4,000 feet of fitness, cardio, and weightlifting space. More advanced climbers can test themselves on the climbing team, or hone critical skills on the hangboard, campus board, and systems board. First time members can get a trial membership for under fifty bucks.
