The 41st Annual Harvard Square Oktoberfest and HONK! Parade Returns This Weekend!
If you like craft beer, you’ll certainly stay busy at the 41st Annual Harvard Square Oktoberfest and HONK! Parade. True to Oktoberfest tradition, the event has a beer garden—but not just one. It plays host to six beer gardens sprinkled throughout Harvard Square and the surrounding streets. And if that’s not reason enough to come and check out the celebration, the craft beer is just a small fraction of what it has to offer.
On Sunday, October 13th, Harvard Square will shut down to traffic and totally transform into one enormous block party. That includes the beer gardens, plus hot food from internationally-inspired vendors, arts and crafts from local creators, and sidewalk sales at the small businesses sprinkled around Harvard Square. What’s more, at 1 p.m., the HONK! Parade will bring vibrant, high-energy bands to streets—and dancing along is encouraged.
